Dear Residents and Families,


The purpose of this letter is to communicate updates regarding our covid-19 reporting and the actions we continue to take to combat and protect our community.  

On Friday, 8/20, we received notice from the Commonwealth that York County’s Covid positivity rate has increased to 9.6% and Adams County increased to 8.3%.

A County positivity rate of 5% or greater does require the facility to take additional precautions.

Effective Monday, August 9, we will continue test all non-vaccinated staff weekly until York County positivity rate falls below 5%.

VISITATIONS:

Effective today, 8/23, we have extended our visitation window to 7:00pm Monday through Friday. This means the last reservation can be made at 7:00pm.

For Saturday and Sunday, our last scheduled visitation will remain at 3:30pm

However, I do need to review/reiterate the current visitation guidelines.

·         Visitors need to call the receptionist 24-hours in advance to schedule a visit.

·         Visitors now have three locations to choose for visits.

o   In Resident Room

§  Single Occupancy Room – up to 3 visitors

§  Double Occupancy Room – 1 visitor

o   Assigned Lounge

§  Up to 2 visitors

o   Outside

§  No limitations on number of visitors or time.

·         Visitors inside the facility need to keep their visits to 30 minutes.

·         Visitors are to wear a face mask at all times while in the facility.

·         The last available visit is 3:30pm for Saturdays and Sundays.

I am receiving daily updates from the area hospitals regarding their bed capacity. Unfortunately, the hospitals are at capacity and have active COVID-19 cases.

Due to the recent surge in the community, Hanover Hall will continue to isolate all new admissions and readmissions for 14 days, regardless of vaccination, as an additional precaution due to the current situation in the community and in the acute care settings.

We have and will continue to test our residents, who show any signs/symptoms. We believe this is in the best interest of our community. We are still very vigilant in our focus to protect and maintain the mitigation that we have achieved.    

You can be proud of the staff at Hanover Hall and be assured that all our staff continue to report to work and perform with excellence. 

I know this continues to be a difficult time for everyone. We will continue to update you, as quickly as possible, with any updates and/or changes to our current situation.

Please know we continue to strictly adhere to all directives and/or recommendations from the local and state health departments as well as the CDC.

We appreciate your continued prayers and trust in the care and services we provide and for your understanding and support of any necessary adjustments as this situation evolves.

July 12, 2020 Dear Residents and Families, The purpose of this letter is to communicate updates regarding our covid-19 reporting and the actions we continue to take to combat and protect our community.   We completed our fourth round of testing on Tuesday, July 7, and all results have been obtained. The results revealed:             Residents:        All Negative             Staff:                All Negative This is the second week in a row that results showed no new cases of Covid. Our fifth round of testing will take place Monday, July 20. The Department of Health has outlined a 3-Step process outlining prerequisites that must be met before easing of current restrictions can be considered. June 16, 2020 Dear Residents and Families, The purpose of this letter is to communicate updates regarding our covid-19 reporting and the actions we continue to take to combat and protect our community.   Yesterday, 6/15, the facility began the process of testing all staff and residents. The testing of residents included those who previously tested negative, those never before tested, and those residents who we recieved permission to test by their Responsible Party. We are finishing up today with the final few staff and residents. We expect to have the results back no later than Friday, 6/19. If there are any positive results obtained, our priority will be to call the families of those who test positive, first. We will call everyone with the results and ask for patience as we make all the calls. As of today, since this pandemic started, we have had a total of 26 residents test positive with Covid-19. This is an increase of 0 since our last update.
