May 27, 2020 Dear Residents and Families, The purpose of this letter is to communicate updates regarding our covid-19 reporting and the actions we continue to take to combat and protect our community.   As of today, since this pandemic started, we have had a total of 18 residents test positive with Covid-19. We also have 5 employees who have tested positive since this pandemic started. One returned to work in April. The four remaining employees remain at home under quarantine. Of the 18 residents:                      4 residents have recovered 7 Residents currently in-house with positive Covid. Today we received the testing results from the Department of Health on the 4 residents tested yesterday, May 26 th . Three tests came back positive.   The families of these 4 residents, along with their roommate’s families, have been notified of the results. May 26, 2020 Dear Residents and Families, The purpose of this letter is to communicate updates regarding our covid-19 reporting and the actions we continue to take to combat and protect our community. As of today, since this pandemic started, we have had a total of 15 residents test positive with Covid-19. We also have 4 employees who have tested positive since this pandemic started. One returned to work in April. The three remaining employees remain at home under quarantine. Of these 15 residents:                      4 residents have recovered 5 Residents currently in-house with positive Covid. Today we received approval from the Department of Health to test 4 residents for Covid. The families of these 4 residents have been notified of the testing. We typically receive results within 48 hours. These families will be notified of these results when they are made available. If any of the results are positive, we will update everyo
May 24, 2020 Dear Residents and Families, The purpose of this letter is to communicate updates regarding our covid-19 reporting and the actions we continue to take to combat and protect our community. As of today, since this pandemic started, we have had a total of 15 residents test positive with Covid-19. Of these 15 residents:                      4 residents have recovered 6 Residents currently in-house with positive Covid. We have and will continue to test our residents, who show any signs/symptoms. We believe this is in the best interest of our community. While the vast majority of our test results have come back negative, we are still very vigilant in our focus to protect and ultimately mitigate this infection.     As I mentioned earlier in the week, I started the process, through the Department of Health, to apply for and receive assistance to test the entire facility for Covid. May 19, 2020 Dear Residents and Families, The purpose of this letter is to communicate updates regarding our covid-19 reporting and the actions we continue to take to combat and protect our community. As of today, since this pandemic started, we have had a total of 13 residents test positive with Covid-19. Of these 13 residents:                      4 residents have recovered 6 Residents currently in-house with positive Covid. Today I started the process, through the Department of Health, to apply for and receive assistance to test the entire facility for Covid. This request for testing includes all staff in addition to our residents. This is a large undertaking by the commonwealth, and I believe it will take some time for our request to be realized. May 17, 2020 Dear Residents and Families, The purpose of this letter is to communicate updates regarding our covid-19 reporting and the actions we continue to take to combat and protect our community. As of today, since this pandemic started, we have had a total of 11 residents test positive with Covid-19. Of these 11 residents: ·                      4 residents have recovered ·                      3 residents who were tested on Friday, May 15 th , have all tested positive for Covid. These three residents have been on transmission-based isolation since signs/symptoms began and will remain on isolation precautions until symptoms resolve. ·                       One resident was tested on Thursday, May 14th, prior to being discharged to Hanover UPMC. UPMC performed a second test, a rapid Covid test, which results showed negative for Covid. Hanover Hall received our test results from the Department of Health on Friday, May 15th, which show
May 16, 2020 Dear Residents and Families, The purpose of this letter is to communicate updates regarding our covid-19 reporting and the actions we continue to take to combat and protect our community. As of today, we have had a total of 8  residents test positive with Covid-19. Of these 8 residents: 4 residents have recovered  One resident was tested on Thursday, May 14th, prior to being discharged to Hanover UPMC. UPMC performed a second test, a rapid Covid test, which results showed negative for Covid. Hanover Hall received our test results from the Department of Health on Friday, May 15th, which showed positive for Covid. This resident remains at the hospital. Since we have two conflicting Covid results, we will assume this resident is positive and they will be placed on transmission-based precautions if/when they return to us. Dear Residents and Family Members: We tested 3 residents on Thursday, 5/7, for Covid. Late Friday, 5/8, test results were obtained. One positive. Resident was moved to SA unit on Friday while awaiting results. Two negative results. These two residents who tested negative will remain on transmission-based precautions until symptoms resolve. As of Sunday, May 10: W e have two residents diagnosed with Covid-19. One was admitted to Hanover UPMC on Friday, 5/8. One remains at Hanover Hall with mild symptoms. Since the start of this pandemic, the facility has experienced;  3 residents recover from Covid  2 residents expire due to complications of pneumonia related to covid One resident who passed on April 30th at Hanover UPMC. One resident who passed on Friday, 5/8, at the facility. Please know we continue to strictly adhere to all directives from the local and state health departments as well as the CDC. May 7, 2020 Dear Residents and Family Members: As a follow-up to our April 27 update: Our first three Covid positive residents have all recovered and transmission-based precautions have been lifted. One of which has already returned home after completing her physical and occupational therapy and one is still participating in rehabilitation with the expectation of returning home. Our third resident is a long-term resident and has returned to her normal activities. I am sorry to report that our 4 th resident who tested positive on 4/24 was transferred to Hanover UPMC on 4/27 and passed away on 4/30 due to complications related to Covid-19. Our heart is heavy having lost a beloved resident. Our thoughts and prayers go out to this family and our community. On 5/4/2020, two residents showed symptoms which warranted initiation of transmission-based precautions and a request for Covid testing. Results on 5/5 showed one positive and one negative.
