Dear Residents and Families,

The purpose of this letter is to communicate updates regarding our Covid-19 reporting and the actions we continue to take to combat and protect our community.

Last night one staff member tested positive for Covid during our biweekly testing of staff.

This staff member was vaccinated and currently has cold-like symptoms.

This employee has worked on A1/B1 and B2 units this past week. Consequently, these units are now Yellow Zones which dictates that the residents on these units are now on Transmission-Based Precautions due to known exposure.

Visitation for these units are suspended for the next 14 days as long as we do not have any new positive cases on these units. If all goes well, May 15th the residents on these units will be available for visitation.

Exception for visitation on A1/B1 and B2 during these next 14 days will be for Compassionate Care visits only.

I will be contacting the responsible parties over the next 24 hours for those residents who reside on A1/B1 and B2 units with these updates.

We did perform rapid testing on all residents on these units, this morning, and all results were negative.

We also tested the remaining residents within the facility this afternoon and all were negative.

Due to the staff positive that occurred last night, we were required to close the facility today to all visitors until we had the opportunity to swab all residents.

Visitation will resume tomorrow, May 5th, for units C1, C2, and D2.

We appreciate your continued prayers and trust in the care and services we provide and for your understanding and support of any necessary adjustments as this situation evolves.

Please feel free to contact me at 717-633-4520 with any questions or concerns.

May God bless us all.

Respectfully,

Daniel Pyle, LNHA
Administrator, Hanover Hall
