Dear Residents and Family Members:
We tested 3 residents on Thursday, 5/7, for Covid.
Late Friday, 5/8, test results were obtained.

 One positive. Resident was moved to SA unit on Friday while awaiting results.
Two negative results. These two residents who tested negative will remain on transmission-based precautions until symptoms resolve.

 As of Sunday, May 10:

 We have two residents diagnosed with Covid-19.
One was admitted to Hanover UPMC on Friday, 5/8.
One remains at Hanover Hall with mild symptoms.

 Since the start of this pandemic, the facility has experienced;

  •  3 residents recover from Covid
  •  2 residents expire due to complications of pneumonia related to covid
    • One resident who passed on April 30th at Hanover UPMC.
    • One resident who passed on Friday, 5/8, at the facility.


Please know we continue to strictly adhere to all directives from the local and state health departments as well as the CDC.

The results revealed:             Residents:        All Negative             Staff:                All Negative This is the second week in a row that results showed no new cases of Covid. Our fifth round of testing will take place Monday, July 20. The Department of Health has outlined a 3-Step process outlining prerequisites that must be met before easing of current restrictions can be considered. June 16, 2020 Dear Residents and Families, The purpose of this letter is to communicate updates regarding our covid-19 reporting and the actions we continue to take to combat and protect our community.   Yesterday, 6/15, the facility began the process of testing all staff and residents. The testing of residents included those who previously tested negative, those never before tested, and those residents who we recieved permission to test by their Responsible Party. We are finishing up today with the final few staff and residents. We expect to have the results back no later than Friday, 6/19. If there are any positive results obtained, our priority will be to call the families of those who test positive, first. We will call everyone with the results and ask for patience as we make all the calls. As of today, since this pandemic started, we have had a total of 26 residents test positive with Covid-19. This is an increase of 0 since our last update.
