November 29, 2020

Dear Residents and Families,

The purpose of this letter is to communicate updates regarding our covid-19 reporting and the actions we continue to take to combat and protect our community.

Saturday, 11/28, we were notified that the 3 presumptive positive residents, from earlier in the week, did test positive for Covid through Gene By Gene/PCR test.

These residents will remain on Transmission-Based Precautions.

Additionally, we had two more residents test positive for Covid from mid-week testing. These residents have been placed on Transmission-Based Precautions.

All families have been notified of the positive Covid results.

This makes 5 total residents this week who have tested positive for Covid.

These five residents are all doing well.

We were also notified on Saturday, 11/28, of one employee testing positive for Covid and two employees, today, who tested positive for Covid. These employees have been notified and will remain at home on self-quarantine.

We are still waiting on more staff results and we will update all of you when those results are obtained.

Today, 11/29, we placed all C1 unit residents on Transmission-Based Precautions.

C1 residents may not have visitation until further notice.

This decision is based on one employee testing positive who works on the C1 unit.

Therefore, we have a known exposure and need to take additional precautions on behalf of all involved.

As a result of this recent in-house increase in Covid positives, we will be testing all residents on Monday, 11/30, using our POC rapid test.

Since the start of this pandemic and as of 11/28/2020:

  • We have 6 active positive covid-19 residents in-house. This is an increase of 4 since last reported.
  • We have had 11 residents expire who all had tested positive for covid. This is an increase of 1 since last reported.
  • We have had a total of 37 positive residents since the start of this pandemic. This is an increase of 6 since last reported.
  • We have had 17 positive employees since the start of this pandemic. This is an increase of 3 since last reported.
  • 4 employees currently home in self-quarantine. All doing well.

We have and will continue to test our residents, who show any signs/symptoms. We believe this is in the best interest of our community. We are still very vigilant in our focus to protect and achieve the mitigation that we have achieved previously.

We appreciate your continued prayers and trust in the care and services we provide and for your understanding and support of any necessary adjustments as this situation evolves.

Please feel free to contact me at 717-633-4520 with any questions or concerns.

May God bless us all.

Respectfully,

Daniel Pyle, NHA
