  November 29, 2020    Dear Residents and Families, The purpose of this letter is to communicate updates regarding our covid-19 reporting and the actions we continue to take to combat and protect our community.   Saturday, 11/28, we were notified that the 3 presumptive positive residents, from earlier in the week, did test positive for Covid through Gene By Gene/PCR test. These residents will remain on Transmission-Based Precautions. Additionally, we had two more residents test positive for Covid from mid-week testing. These residents have been placed on Transmission-Based Precautions. All families have been notified of the positive Covid results. This makes 5 total residents this week who have tested positive for Covid. These five residents are all doing well. We were also notified on Saturday, 11/28, of one employee testing positive for Covid and two employees, today, who tested positive for Covid.   November 25, 2020    Dear Residents and Families, The purpose of this letter is to communicate updates regarding our covid-19 reporting and the actions we continue to take to combat and protect our community.   As a result of last week’s positive resident, we tested all residents yesterday, 11/24. We tested two nursing units using the Point of Care Rapid Test. The rest of the facility we utilized our PCR test, and those results are pending. The Rapid Test resulted in 3 residents showing presumptive positive . Consequently, we swabbed these three residents again using our PCR test and those results are pending. Those three resident rooms have been placed on Transmission-Based Precautions pending the PCR test results. Their family members have been notified and these residents may not have visitation until isolation precautions are lifted. All three presumptive positive residents are doing well.   November 20, 2020    Dear Residents and Families, The purpose of this letter is to communicate updates regarding our covid-19 reporting and the actions we continue to take to combat and protect our community.   Late afternoon yesterday, 11/19, we were notified by our contracted lab that one of our resident’s tested positive for Covid-19. This resident tested negative the week of 11/9. This resident had an outside appointment/consult on 11/10. At this time, this is the only known possible exposure that could have occurred. The family has been contacted as well as the physician’s office where the resident had visited. This resident has not had a roommate and yesterday was moved to our Sub-acute unit and placed on Transmission-Based Precautions. In the last three weeks we have also had 2 employees test positive for Covid. One employee has returned following self-quarantine and one remains in self-quarantine.
